FAQs

Got questions? You’re in the right place.

Whether you're considering working together or you're already booked in and curious about what to expect, this page covers some of the most common questions I get asked. My aim is to make this journey feel as clear and supportive as possible.

What if I am on the pill or HRT? - Will I have to come straight off my medication before starting?

Not at all. Many women I work with are on contraception or HRT due to their symptoms, so I never recommend going cold turkey. We start by making gentle dietary and lifestyle changes while you're still on your current medication, focusing on the symptoms you were experiencing beforehand. Once we’ve built a strong foundation and you feel ready, we can talk about coming off medication—if that’s your goal. If you're still menstruating, we’ll begin cycle tracking once you’ve come off.

What if I’m trying to conceive and get pregnant before our time together ends?

That would be wonderful news! If you fall pregnant during our time together, you have two options:

  • Use your remaining sessions for pregnancy support and nutrition guidance.

  • Pause the sessions and use them after birth, once your cycle returns.
Sessions just need to be used within a year of your babies arrival.

How will the sessions be spaced out?

This depends on your individual progress and symptoms. I’ll guide the spacing of your sessions based on how things are going. If we’ve booked a session in for a few weeks' time and you’d like to check in sooner, I’ll do my best to fit you in earlier.

What if I have questions between sessions?

You’re very welcome to reach out between sessions via the app we’ll be using. You can message, send voice notes, pictures or videos - whatever feels easiest. I don’t want you sitting on questions or feeling stuck. Think of me as your nutritionist in your pocket! I aim to reply within 24 hours and will always let you know in advance if I’m away.

What does the price include?

This is a meaningful investment, both financially and personally. The cost covers:

  • All our consultation time

  • My preparation and personalised resources

  • Ongoing support between sessions over the full three or six months

The guidance you receive is tailored to you and designed to have lasting impact far beyond our time together.

Why is it three months for perimenopause and six months for cycling women?

Different stages of life need different support:

  • If you're still cycling, you’ll be learning to chart your cycle, which takes time. Because symptoms are cyclical, we need a few months to implement changes and see how your body responds across several cycles.

  • If you're perimenopausal, symptoms are typically more constant, so we can monitor progress without needing to wait for full cycle changes.

What if I’ve had a partial hysterectomy and no longer bleed but still have cyclical symptoms?

That’s absolutely fine. We can still track your cycle using physical and emotional symptoms and even incorporate a tracking device if needed. This helps us understand your hormonal rhythms and tailor support accordingly.

Do I need a diagnosis to work with you?

Not at all. Whether you have a diagnosis (like PCOS, endometriosis, or PMDD) or you’re just feeling “off” and suspect your hormones might be playing a role, I can help. We work with symptoms and patterns to get to the root cause, regardless of a formal label.

What if my blood tests have come back ‘normal’ but I still feel rubbish?

This is so common. Many women are told their tests are “fine” even when they’re experiencing clear symptoms. I interpret your health holistically, looking beyond blood work to understand what your body is really trying to tell us.

Do you offer functional testing (like hormone or gut tests)?

Yes, I do offer functional testing when it's appropriate and if you'd like to go down that route. It’s never mandatory, and we’ll always weigh up whether it’s likely to give us information we can’t get through symptoms and observation alone. Testing can sometimes speed up the process, but it’s not essential.

Can I work with you if I have irregular or no periods?

Absolutely. Whether your periods are missing, irregular or unpredictable, there’s a lot we can do to support your body and encourage your period to become more regular. We’ll use other signs and symptoms to track your progress.

Will I have to give up all my favourite foods?

No! I’m a big believer in realistic, sustainable changes that work in real life. This isn’t about restriction—it’s about giving your body the nourishment it needs to function well, while still enjoying your food and life.

How quickly will I see results?

It varies depending on the individual and the symptoms, but most women start to notice shifts within 1–2 cycles. Some changes happen faster, while others take time. The six-month structure allows us to make gradual, lasting progress without the pressure to "fix it all" overnight.

Is this suitable if I have other health conditions too?

Yes, I regularly work with women who are managing other conditions like thyroid issues, autoimmune disease, digestive problems or mental health challenges. We’ll always consider your full health picture and tailor your plan accordingly incorporating support for those conditions too.

Do you work with teenagers or women post-menopause?

Yes! While I mainly support women who are cycling or in perimenopause, I do also work with teens and postmenopausal women, especially if hormone-related symptoms or nutritional support are still relevant.
